Youth Protection Training:

The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the BSA has developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders the following online, video, and print resources for Boy Scout programs.

Youth Protection Training is a foundational element in all Adult Leader roles and should be the first training taken by any Adult who is active in the Troop in any capacity involving youth interaction.

The YPT course is available online at any time (you have to register to get traceable credit but now don't need to have completed BSA/Troop registration before doing this (you can add your registration numbers later if needed).
