Troop Guide - Job Description:

Advisor and guide for the new scout patrol. Works wit the new Scouts to get them comfortable with scouting and to help with their rank advancements in the first year - towards First Class Scout. Works with the ASM assigned to the new Scout patrol

NB In Troop election/selections for this role - first preference is given to Scouts at First Class Rank and above.   

Duties:

- Introduce new scouts to Troop operations (terminology, expectations etc)

- Shield new scouts from harassment by older Scouts

- Teaches basic Scout Skills

- Coaches the new Scout Patrol Leader on  his duties

- Attends PLC meeting with the new Scout Patrol Leader & supports him

- Helps all new Scouts earn rank advancements in their first year
