Role Specific Training

The following Adult Volunteer Role specific classes are planned to be offered:

Merit Badge Counselor Orientation (Annual Session & Self/Online)
 - Must individually take Youth Protection Training
 - Review the Safe Scouting Guidelines

 
- Review the Merit Badge Counselor (MBC) Guidelines
 - Troop Orientation Group Session (or possible individual make-up)
    - Expectations, Roles, Methodology
    - Merit Badge Requirements

Board Of Review Member Orientation (Annual Troop Session & Self/Online)
 
- Must individually take Youth Protection Training
 
- Troop Orientation Group Session (or possible individual make-up)
    - Expectations, Roles, Methodology

Outdoor Event Leaders (Annual Overview Session & Self/Online)
 - Must individually take Youth Protection Training
 - Troop Orientation group session
 - Review the Safe Scouting Guide
 - Strongly Suggest you individually take Hazardous Weather training
 - Prefer you take Fast Start Leader Training
 - Situational requirement for Safe Swim Defense/Safety Afloat (depending on activity)
 - Review the Event Driver Expectations
 - CPR qualification & (Wilderness) First Aid required of an adult event attendee

Adult Participants e.g. Camps/Events (Overview Session Annually & Self/Online)
 - Strongly Suggested you take Youth Protection Training
 - Encouraged to take Fast Start Leader Training & Review the Safe Scouting Guide
 - Desirable to have completed Hazardous Weather, Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat etc as appropriate to the activity 
 - Review Event Driver Expectations

 - Guidelines for communication to the Troop
   - Troop Privacy Guidelines
   - Standardized Format & Contact Info (Login reqd)

Fundraising Team 
Brief Session & Self/Online Guidelines
 - Strongly Suggested you take Youth Protection Training
 - Review Why We Fundraise (purpose)
 - Specific Fundraiser Guidelines

All adults registered with the Troop
 - Must individually take Youth Protection Training (good for 2 years)
