Merit Badge Counselors:

Adults can sign up as a Merit Badge Counselors for multiple badges - usually in areas of professional expertise, existing hobby interests or an area you are interested in learning more about. Some badges have no technical content and require leadership, coordination and logistics only. We focus on filling the Eagle required merit badge positions first since these are also some of the most popular - we have a short list of others that are popular - but feel free to make you area of expertise or interest into a new 'popular' Merit Badge for the Troop!. There are well over 100 badges to choose from.

Once per year the Merit Badge Coordinator will hold a introductory/training session for new Merit Badge Counselors - this will cover general expectations, Troop contacts, planning and resources available for support. It is suggested al active l Counselors attend at least every other session as a refresher.
