Junior ASM - Job Description: The Junior Assistant Scoutmaster is a Scout of between 16-18 years old who is appointed by the Scoutmaster based on proven leadership ability. The Junior ASM acts as an Assistant Scoutmaster except where age and maturity are an important factor as determined by the Scoutmaster - but for example certainly in respect to BSA adult supervision requirements for activities. The Junior ASM may also supervise & supports Scouts in other Youth Leadership roles as assigned by the Scoutmaster. Duties: - Generally the same as for other Assistant Scoutmasters - Support Scouts in specifically assigned Youth Leader Roles - based on expertise - Other roles assigned by the Scoutmaster
