Junior Leader Training (JLT)

JLT session are for initial & follow-up leadership training for Youth Leaders in the Troop. A session is usually held shortly after the Youth leadership elections in April/October.

This several hour long program is open to all Scouts but new youth leaders are strongly encouraged to attend.

These sessions are usually run by the Scoutmaster and/or Assistants with support of other adults in the Troop.

The session focuses on leadership expectations & leadership styles with lots of practical examples & exercises. It is a chance for the new leadership team to practice some teamwork exercises prior to working together in the PLC and in running Troop Meetings.
