Chartered Organization Representative

Job Description Outline:

Corpus Christi Catholic Church is the Chartered Organization for Troop 278 Ahwatukee and receives a national charter yearly to use the Scouting program as part of its youth work. The chartered organization representative is chosen by the church and attends the troop committee overseeing its operation, membership and recruiting.

The chartered organization representative is:

  •  Is a member of the chartered organization
  •  Serves as the head of "Scouting department" in the organization
  •  Secures the troop committee chair and encourages training
  •  Maintains close liaison with the troop chair
  •  Helps recruit other adult leaders
  •  Serves as a liaison between the Troop and the organization
  •  Assists with unit re-chartering
  •  Encourages service to the organization
  •  Is an active and involved member of the district committee

    Can also register as a Troop committee officer in 1 additional role
