from all Scout families - if you participate in the Troop you are
expected to support this fundraiser...

If you are selling tickets
Our goal & expectation is 100% participation in
our Fall Fundraiser from all Scout families - we do not collect any
annual membership fees for the Troop - all annual Scout registration
fees go directly to the BSA.
To operate the troop we must raise funds from
every family to pay for neckerchiefs, merit badges & cards, rank badges
& cards, parent pins, the troop website & email servers, postage, Fast
Start campout costs, training equipment and pre-payment fees associated
with Camp Geronimo, Camp Emerald Bay & Philmont trips.
The fall fundraiser as usual includes
Scout-O-Rama ticket sales as well as some alternate options.
We strongly support Scout-O-Rama ticket sales
via our enthusiastic coordinators. We start our planning for this in May
to be better prepared and have done the following:
- Start communications early
- Secure premium ticket sales locations for
Fri/Sat/Sun on both sales weekends
- Avoid other major Troop activity conflicts on
these weekends
We would like every Scout to participate in
fundraising - we encourage everyone (including parents) to sign up for
at least one 2 hour sales slot and also to sell tickets to your own
families, friends & contacts - this can be a good recruiting tool for
Scouting too. We would like all Scouts to target selling at least 1 full
book of (20) tickets. The tickets are $5 each.
The Troop 100% supports ticket sales
fundraising. Some recent years we have raised less than we spent...
We do not want to do that again.... Enough Said!
As part of our fall fundraiser we do anticipate
that some will be unable to participate in ticket sales for various
reasons or may not be able to sell a whole book of tickets.
This year we again present guidelines for
families to make an optional donation as an alternate or
supplement to Scout ticket sales. As in previous years families can also
chose to just purchase some/all remaining tickets themselves.
Scout-O-Rama ticket sales slots are now open
for registration - call early!
