Annual Individual Re-registration & Troop Re-Chartering:

Every year we need to renew  the charter of the Troop with our sponsoring body Corpus Christi Church.
 

At the same time we re-register all active Scouts & leaders in the Troop for another ~calendar year.

When you are registered you get a BSA membership card & number (it will take a few months to arrive)

Registration has been maintained at ~$12 over the last few years for Scouts and Adults (this may change)

- All these fees go to the National BSA Council for national programs and administration.

Our Troop usually collects fees at the same time for the Friends of Scouting Campaign

 - All these fees go to Grand Canyon Council for our local programs and administration

 - We have collected ~$25 per family for this campaign for the last few years (this may change)

You may also elect to add the optional 1 year subscription to 'Boys Life' magazine for a further ~$12

Note that none of this funding goes to the operation of Troop 278.

Many other Troops collect an annual program fee for themselves - often of several hundred dollars.

To make scouting more affordable for all Troop278 relies only on the 100% participation annual Fall-Fundraiser
and other optional participation fundraisers throughout the year to fund all of our Troop program expenses

Coordinator with your payment - this is usually due by mid November for the following year.

Adult Registration.

We encourage all adults active in the Troop to register. As a registerd Adult you are considered a Troop Committee Member and can propose motions and vote on all matters before the Troop Committee.

As a non-registered adult you can attend but not vote of make motions for votes.

If you plan to become active in the Troop (we hope you do) as an Assistant Scoutmaster or a Merit Badge Counselor, Board Of Review Member or participate in Scout activities as a leader we need you to register - see the Adult Training & Registration Matrix.
