This car camp includes two hikes and camping at Picacho Peak State Park.  The first hike (7 miles roundtrip) is at Table Top Mesa in the Table Top Wilderness south of Phoenix.  The second hike is to the top of Picacho Peak (4 miles roundtrip via Hunter trail).  The trail is steep in places and cables are installed as a handrail.

Counts towards camping merit badge & OA camping nights requirements. You may be able to accomplish other requirements on the campout/hikes e.g. map & compass, cooking, fire lighting and the 1000' elevation requirement for the camping merit badge.
