Troop Family Hike on New Years day – A good chance to immediately start on your new years resolutions for fitness…!

This is an approx 6 mile loop hike with about 1300 feet of elevation gain. It is both easier and quite a bit shorter than our recent Thanksgiving hike.

We will hike up South Mountain to Hidden Valley via several unmarked trails - including the Guadalupe Ridgeline Tr. We'll visit Fat Mans Pass, the Overlook, Natural Tunnel and the Natural Bridge below Hidden Valley. I don’t expect any of you will have ever seen the Natural Bridge before – it is not located on any major trail. We will return via a different trail to Desert Classic. This will be an approx 5 mile loop..

At any point family groups can cut the hike short and return the way you came (all downhill on the way back) for a shorter hike. The second half of our hike will be essentially all downhill anyway. Webelos Scouts with adult family members are welcome to join us!
